2019 marks the 9th elections of the European Parliament (May 23-26). The European Union is facing challenges from all directions and from within its own borders : Immigration, Brexit, Russia, uncertainties with its relations with the US, an economic crisis and a wave of populist sentiments. There was never more need for EU citizens to get mobilized and unite to collectively address these challenges and strengthen the European project the big majority of them still cherish and believe in.
On April 15th, the European associations of Columbia University (CEUSA, CES and GEG) will welcome for the first time on campus the European Parliament’s Washington Liaison Office (EPLO) to explore the stakes of the 2019 European Elections.
Join us for a lively panel discussion with the EPLO’s head delegation, moderated by CUNY political science professors. The event will provide participants a unique opportunity to engage with the upcoming European Elections.
