The United States of Europe

The idea of a ‘United States of Europe’, long presented as the driving force of the European construction, seems today to be broken down. Almost no European party defends the initial dream of Monnet and Schuman. Did the formula resulted from a historical and political misunderstanding ? Between ‘federalism’ and ‘community’, which path could be the one for Europe ?
