Thomas Philippon a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 divers sujets en macro\u00e9conomie et en finance : le risque syst\u00e9mique et la crise financi\u00e8re, la dynamique de l'investissement des entreprises et de l'endettement des m\u00e9nages, l'innovation financi\u00e8re et la r\u00e9glementation financi\u00e8re, la crise de la zone euro. Son r\u00e9cent livre The Great Reversal (Harvard Press, 2019) se porte sur le pouvoir de march\u00e9 croissant des grandes entreprises. Il est actuellement conseiller aupr\u00e8s du Conseil de stabilit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re et de l'Institut de recherche mon\u00e9taire et financi\u00e8re de Hong Kong. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 conseiller aupr\u00e8s de la Banque f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de r\u00e9serve de New York, membre du conseil d'administration de l'autorit\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise de r\u00e9gulation prudentielle de 2014 \u00e0 2019, et conseiller \u00e9conomique principal aupr\u00e8s du ministre fran\u00e7ais des Finances en 2012\u20102013.
