Ancien \u00e9l\u00e8ve de l\u2019\u00c9cole normale sup\u00e9rieure, re\u00e7u premier \u00e0 l\u2019agr\u00e9gation de philosophie en 1986, il soutient une th\u00e8se de philosophie \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Clermont-Ferrand en 1995. D\u2019abord ma\u00eetre de conf\u00e9rences en philosophie \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9 Charles de Gaulle de Lille (Lille III), il y sera professeur de philosophie contemporaine de 2003 \u00e0 2013. Il rejoint alors l\u2019\u00c9cole normale sup\u00e9rieure o\u00f9, depuis 2015, il assumait la charge de directeur-adjoint Lettres.\r\n\r\nPhilosophe du soin et de la d\u00e9mocratie, sp\u00e9cialiste de Bergson et de la philosophie fran\u00e7aise contemporaine, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Worms a \u00e9t\u00e9 membre du Comit\u00e9 consultatif national d\u2019\u00e9thique (CCNE) de 2013 \u00e0 2021. Il dirige le Centre international d\u2019\u00e9tude de la Philosophie fran\u00e7aise contemporaine, au sein de l\u2019UAR 3608 R\u00e9publique des savoirs. \r\n\r\nFr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Worms est l\u2019auteur de nombreux ouvrages dont <em>Pour un humanisme vital, Lettres sur la vie, la mort et le moment pr\u00e9sent<\/em>, Odile Jacob, 2019 ; <em>Vivre en temps r\u00e9el<\/em>, Bayard, 2021 ou encore d\u2019un ouvrage de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence paru chez Gallimard en 2009 dans la collection Folio-Essais in\u00e9dits : <em>La philosophie en France au XXe si\u00e8cle,
