En novembre 2017, Janet Yellen, alors directrice de la banque centrale am\u00e9ricaine, la FED, quittait son poste, qu\u2019elle c\u00e9dait \u00e0 Jerome Powell, nomm\u00e9 par Donald Trump. L\u2019\u00e9conomiste, qualifi\u00e9e en 2014 de deuxi\u00e8me femme la plus influente au monde par le magasin <em>Forbes<\/em>, va \u00e0 pr\u00e9sent rejoindre le prestigieux <em>think tank<\/em> am\u00e9ricain Brookings, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans l\u2019analyse des politiques publiques. Elle s\u2019y occupera en particulier des questions li\u00e9es au march\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi (<strong>1<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Son bilan, notamment sur la question du ch\u00f4mage, a \u00e9t\u00e9 qualifi\u00e9 de largement positif&#160;; le journal <em>Washington Post <\/em>en faisait m\u00eame l\u2019une des plus efficace directrices de la FED depuis la cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019institution en 1913. C\u2019est aussi la seule \u00e0 ne pas avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 reconduite \u00e0 son poste \u00e0 la fin de son premier mandat (<strong>2<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yellen n\u2019est pas la premi\u00e8re des ex-directeurs de la FED \u00e0 rejoindre le <em>think tank<\/em>&#160;: lorsque Ben Bernanke, directeur de 2007 \u00e0 2014, avait quitt\u00e9 l\u2019institution, Brookings l\u2019avait imm\u00e9diatement embauch\u00e9. Deux anciens vice-pr\u00e9sidents de la FED, Alice Rivlin et Donald Kohn, y travaillent \u00e9galement, ainsi que Nellie Liang, ex-directrice du p\u00f4le \u201cStabilit\u00e9 Financi\u00e8re\u201d de la banque centrale (<strong>1<\/strong>). Son homologue europ\u00e9en Jean-Claude Trichet, qui avait quitt\u00e9 la direction de la BCE en 2011, avait pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 rejoindre le groupe EADS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Perspectives&#160;:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>De nombreux changements sont \u00e0 attendre dans les deux prochaines ann\u00e9es \u00e0 la t\u00eate des principales banques centrales.
