Le projet, n\u00e9 en 2008 \u00e0 l&rsquo;initiative de la Commission Europ\u00e9enne, vise \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la d\u00e9pendance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de l&rsquo;Union vis-\u00e0-vis du gaz russe. Il consiste en une succession de trois gazoducs qui am\u00e8neront le gaz du gisement de Shah Deniz II depuis la Caspienne en passant par la Georgie, la Turquie la Gr\u00e8ce et l\u2019Albanie jusqu\u2019en Italie via les Pouilles. Le trac\u00e9 \u00e9vite soigneusement la Russie et promet une plus grande ind\u00e9pendance de la G\u00e9orgie et de l&rsquo;Azerba\u00efdjan vis-\u00e0-vis de leur encombrant voisin. Si les deux premi\u00e8res sections du Corridor sont achev\u00e9es, reste \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser la partie la plus \u00e9pineuse du gazoduc&#160;: sa travers\u00e9e \u00ab&#160;offshore&#160;\u00bb de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, depuis la Turquie jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l&rsquo;Italie. Les travaux commenceront en 2019 et devraient permettre les premi\u00e8res livraisons effectives en 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le m\u00eame temps, la compagnie nationale azerba\u00efdjanaise SOCAR a annonc\u00e9 la signature d\u2019un accord avec le groupe su\u00e9dois Statoil pour l&rsquo;exploitation du gisement de p\u00e9trole offshore Karabagh (<strong>2<\/strong>). Le potentiel de ce champ encore mal connu prolonge encore un peu plus les perspectives de la manne p\u00e9troli\u00e8re dont b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie l\u2019\u00c9tat az\u00e9ri depuis maintenant pr\u00e8s de cent cinquante ans. De quoi envisager avec s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9 l\u2019avenir de la dynastie Aliyev au pouvoir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Perspectives&#160;:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>L&rsquo;inconnue est l\u2019absence de r\u00e9action russe au renforcement de l&rsquo;axe UE-Azerba\u00efdjan jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent. La Russie est probablement lucide sur les capacit\u00e9s limit\u00e9es de l&rsquo;Azerba\u00efdjan \u00e0 fournir en gaz l&rsquo;Europe enti\u00e8re. La demande int\u00e9rieure du pays de la Caspienne augmente fortement et ses capacit\u00e9s d&rsquo;exportation diminuent d&rsquo;autant.
