Le parti \u00e9cologiste pourrait remporter jusqu\u2019\u00e0 3 si\u00e8ges et arriver deuxi\u00e8me du scrutin apr\u00e8s Fine Gael, le parti au gouvernement. Dans chacune des trois circonscriptions du pays (Dublin, Sud, Midlands Nord-Ouest), les \u00e9lecteurs n\u2019ont pas vot\u00e9 pas pour une liste ferm\u00e9e compos\u00e9e par un parti politique, mais ont class\u00e9 sur leur bulletin, par ordre de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence d\u00e9croissant, l\u2019ensemble des candidats en lice. Le parti \u00e9cologiste arriverait largement en t\u00eate de l\u2019\u00e9lection \u00e0 Dublin et peut esp\u00e9rer gagner un si\u00e8ge par circonscription. Si le succ\u00e8s des Verts irlandais venait \u00e0 \u00eatre confirm\u00e9, les deux partis rivaux du centre-droit, Fine Gael (rattach\u00e9 au PPE et actuellement au gouvernement) et Fianna F\u00e1il (affili\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ADLE) pourraient obtenir respectivement 4 et 2 si\u00e8ges, en-de\u00e7\u00e0 des objectifs \u00e9lectoraux qu\u2019ils avaient affich\u00e9s.
