Ces deux compagnies am\u00e9ricaines coop\u00e8rent chacune avec une firme europ\u00e9enne, respectivement la Rheinmetall allemande et le consortium europ\u00e9en MBDA constitu\u00e9 par BAE (Royaume-Uni), Leonardo (Italie) et Airbus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que l\u2019Allemagne utilise actuellement le Patriot de Raytheon, il semblerait qu\u2019elle ait l\u2019intention de monter en gamme en choisissant le Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) de Lockheed qui se targue d\u2019une meilleure mobilit\u00e9 et de capacit\u00e9s d\u2019interception \u00e0 360 degr\u00e9s qui le rendent plus flexible puisqu\u2019il ne d\u00e9pend plus du positionnement sp\u00e9cifique qui caract\u00e9risait le Patriot durant la Guerre froide (<strong>1<\/strong>). Pourtant, le syst\u00e8me Patriot a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9 par la Pologne et la Roumaine, ce qui faciliterait l\u2019interop\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019actuel bouclier anti-missile de l\u2019OTAN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le choix du MEADS par l\u2019Allemagne pourrait signer le d\u00e9but d\u2019une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de plateformes de d\u00e9fense a\u00e9rienne, non seulement chez d\u2019autres pays europ\u00e9ens mais aussi aux \u00c9tats-Unis qui, \u00e0 cause de contraintes budg\u00e9taires, ont d\u00fb reporter leur d\u00e9cision d\u2019adopter le syst\u00e8me MEADS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Perspectives&#160;:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Malgr\u00e9 la relative modestie de son arm\u00e9e, l\u2019Allemagne est d\u00e9j\u00e0 un leader dans le domaine des plateformes de d\u00e9fense a\u00e9rienne. Les deux poids lourds de la d\u00e9fense du continent europ\u00e9en, le Royaume-Uni et la France, ont s\u00e9rieusement r\u00e9duit leurs capacit\u00e9s de d\u00e9fense a\u00e9rienne.
