Il a \u00e9galement propos\u00e9 une ouverture pour les membres du Hamas qui d\u00e9poseraient les armes&#160;: \u00ab&#160;nous leur permettons de partir et de vivre&#160;\u00bb. Le Hamas a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 significativement affaibli par la campagne militaire isra\u00e9lienne \u00e0 Gaza \u2014 au prix d\u2019un bilan humain consid\u00e9rable. Le fait d\u2019avoir r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9liminer Sinwar \u00e0 Rafah, dont l\u2019offensive avait fait l\u2019objet de vives contestations internationales et en Isra\u00ebl, pourrait par ailleurs conf\u00e9rer \u00e0 Netanyahou un sentiment de sup\u00e9riorit\u00e9 vis-\u00e0-vis de ses homologues \u00e9trangers quant \u00e0 sa connaissance du Hamas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L\u2019organisation en tant que telle n\u2019est pas pour autant \u00e9limin\u00e9e. Plus d\u2019un an apr\u00e8s le lancement de l\u2019invasion de Gaza, Isra\u00ebl combat toujours chaque jour des groupes arm\u00e9s palestiniens dans l\u2019enclave. La mort de Sinwar par un tir de char d\u2019assaut constituait, avant qu\u2019on ne connaisse son identit\u00e9, une op\u00e9ration d\u00e9sormais devenue \u00ab&#160;routini\u00e8re&#160;\u00bb \u00e0 Gaza.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Son \u00e9limination, dans un contexte de d\u00e9ficit de leadership suite \u00e0 l\u2019assassinat d\u2019autres cadres partageant la ligne dure de l\u2019organisation (Marwan Issa, Isma\u00ebl Haniyeh, Mohammed Deif\u2026), signifie que les combattants du Hamas pourraient de plus en plus s\u2019engager dans une forme de \u00ab&#160;gu\u00e9rilla&#160;\u00bb, selon le terme employ\u00e9 par Tsahal. Basem Naim, un haut responsable du Hamas, a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 la d\u00e9termination du groupe terroriste \u00e0 poursuivre les combats, d\u00e9clarant que si la mort de Sinwar \u00e9tait \u00ab&#160;douloureuse&#160;\u00bb le groupe finirait par \u00eatre \u00ab&#160;victorieux&#160;\u00bb.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le candidat le plus probable \u00e0 la succession de Yahya Sinwar est son fr\u00e8re, Mohammed, actuellement \u00e0 la t\u00eate des Brigades Izz al-Din al-Qassam, la branche militaire du Hamas. Celui-ci est n\u00e9anmoins plus per\u00e7u comme une figure de pouvoir local, et ne dispose pas du r\u00e9seau ni du leadership de Yahya Sinwar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019enthousiasme affich\u00e9 par les dirigeants occidentaux en faveur d\u2019un cessez-le-feu, cette victoire pourrait ne pas changer fondamentalement l\u2019\u00e9quation pour Isra\u00ebl.
