L\u2019\u00e9tude indique qu\u2019en 2018, le secteur a \u00e9mis 2100 Mt de CO\u2082.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"iframe-container wp-block-image wp-block-image-medium  iframe-dw\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<iframe class=\"absolute w-full h-full pin-t pin-l\" title=\"titolo\" aria-label=\"Interactive line chart\" src=\"\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/0OBCu\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019industrie textile, port\u00e9e d\u00e9sormais par les fibres synth\u00e9tiques, est devenue largement d\u00e9pendante du p\u00e9trole, faisant du textile l\u2019un des secteurs principaux de l\u2019industrie p\u00e9trochimique.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les fibres synth\u00e9tiques (port\u00e9es par le polyester, un produit d\u00e9riv\u00e9 du p\u00e9trole) repr\u00e9sentent en effet pr\u00e8s de 80&#160;% de la production totale de fibres textiles&#160;; \u00e0 partir des ann\u00e9es 1990, la production de textile \u00e0 partir de fibres synth\u00e9tiques a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 celle \u00e0 partir du coton.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cons\u00e9quence du passage du textile au synth\u00e9tique, en 2019, 6&#160;% de la production de plastique a \u00e9t\u00e9 destin\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019habillement&nbsp;<span class='whitespace-nowrap'><span id='easy-footnote-2-180864' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/legrandcontinent.eu\/fr\/2023\/03\/27\/lindustrie-textile-reste-encore-largement-non-decarbonee\/#easy-footnote-bottom-2-180864' title='\u00ab&amp;#160;&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/read.oecd-ilibrary.org\/view\/?ref=1143_1143481-88j1bxuktr&amp;amp;title=Global-Plastics-Outlook-Policy-Scenarios-to-2060-Policy-Highlights&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;noreferrer noopener&quot;&gt;Global Plastic Outlook&lt;\/a&gt;&amp;#160;\u00bb, OCDE, 2022.'><sup>2<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span> (les fibres synth\u00e9tiques repr\u00e9sentant 13&#160;% de la production totale de plastique, de 460 Mt).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L&rsquo;Agence internationale de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie estime que les plastiques seront le principal moteur de la croissance nette de la demande de p\u00e9trole au cours des deux prochaines d\u00e9cennies, devant l\u2019aviation et le transport automobile&nbsp;<span class='whitespace-nowrap'><span id='easy-footnote-3-180864' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/legrandcontinent.eu\/fr\/2023\/03\/27\/lindustrie-textile-reste-encore-largement-non-decarbonee\/#easy-footnote-bottom-3-180864' title='\u00ab&amp;#160;&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/iea.blob.core.windows.net\/assets\/bee4ef3a-8876-4566-98cf-7a130c013805\/The_Future_of_Petrochemicals.pdf&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot; rel=&quot;noreferrer noopener&quot;&gt;The Future of Petrochemicals&lt;\/a&gt;&amp;#160;\u00bb, International Energy Agency, Octobre 2018.'><sup>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>. L\u2019industrie chimique et p\u00e9trochimique a \u00e9mis 1,16Gt de CO\u2082 en 2020, soit 13&#160;% du total des \u00e9missions industrielles directes (8,74Gt).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"iframe-container wp-block-image wp-block-image-medium  iframe-dw\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<iframe class=\"absolute w-full h-full pin-t pin-l\" title=\"titolo\" aria-label=\"Interactive line chart\" src=\"\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/9jdx1\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>La hausse des \u00e9missions de carbone du secteur de l\u2019habillement s\u2019explique aussi par une forte augmentation de la production.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts de production et la rationalisation des cha\u00eenes d\u2019approvisionnement ont entra\u00een\u00e9 une baisse du prix des v\u00eatements par rapport \u00e0 celui d&rsquo;autres biens de consommation. Les d\u00e9lais de production plus courts ont \u00e9galement permis aux fabricants de v\u00eatements de lancer de nouvelles lignes plus fr\u00e9quemment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Le rythme de production des v\u00eatements d\u00e9passe d\u00e9sormais souvent la demande, ce qui pose la question de savoir ce qu&rsquo;il advient des v\u00eatements qui ne sont jamais vendus. L\u2019entreprise H&amp;M a \u00e9t\u00e9 critiqu\u00e9e en 2018 pour avoir r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 dans son rapport annuel qu&rsquo;elle avait accumul\u00e9 4,3 milliards de dollars de stocks invendus. Au cours des ann\u00e9es qui ont suivi, ses invendus sont rest\u00e9s au m\u00eame niveau.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"iframe-container wp-block-image wp-block-image-medium  iframe-dw\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<iframe class=\"absolute w-full h-full pin-t pin-l\" title=\"titolo\" aria-label=\"Interactive line chart\" src=\"\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/WGjJd\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9conomie circulaire du textile reste encore \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper, alors que la majorit\u00e9 des v\u00eatements en fin de vie sont incin\u00e9r\u00e9s ou mis en d\u00e9charge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Un rapport de la Fondation Ellen MacArthur&nbsp;<span class='whitespace-nowrap'><span id='easy-footnote-4-180864' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/legrandcontinent.eu\/fr\/2023\/03\/27\/lindustrie-textile-reste-encore-largement-non-decarbonee\/#easy-footnote-bottom-4-180864' title='Ellen MacArthur Foundation (2017), &lt;em&gt;A New Textiles Economy&amp;#160;: Redesigning Fashion\u2019s Future&lt;\/em&gt;.'><sup>4<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span> concluait en 2017 que moins de 1&#160;% des v\u00eatements usag\u00e9s sont transform\u00e9s en nouveaux v\u00eatements. Quatre-vingt-sept pour cent de l&rsquo;ensemble des fibres utilis\u00e9es pour la fabrication des v\u00eatements sont finalement incin\u00e9r\u00e9es ou mises en d\u00e9charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"iframe-container wp-block-image wp-block-image-medium  iframe-dw\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<iframe class=\"absolute w-full h-full pin-t pin-l\" title=\"titolo\" aria-label=\"Interactive line chart\" src=\"\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/HVAEt\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>En comparaison, toujours selon l\u2019OCDE, 9&#160;% du plastique jet\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e est recycl\u00e9, 19&#160;% est incin\u00e9r\u00e9 et 49&#160;% est mis en d\u00e9charge&#160;; les 22&#160;% se retrouvent en partie dans l\u2019environnement (22 Mt rel\u00e2ch\u00e9es en 2019). Depuis le d\u00e9but de l\u2019industrie du plastique dans les ann\u00e9es 50, l\u2019on estime que 140 millions de tonnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rel\u00e2ch\u00e9es dans les
