Certains ont eu la chance, comme moi, de na\u00eetre dans les ann\u00e9es 1940. Ils ont eu le privil\u00e8ge d\u2019assister \u00e0 toute la carri\u00e8re du plus grand footballeur de tous les temps. Pour qui n’a pas eu ce privil\u00e8ge, la mort de Pel\u00e9 semble \u00eatre un \u00e9v\u00e9nement comme un autre dans la vie d\u2019une personne. Mais pour ceux qui aiment le football, les souvenirs sportifs li\u00e9s \u00e0 cette carri\u00e8re hors norme sont des exp\u00e9riences inoubliables dans une vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pour ceux qui ont v\u00e9cu cette longue et merveilleuse carri\u00e8re, il ne fait aucun doute que Pel\u00e9 \u00e9tait le plus grand joueur de football de tous les temps. Cela a commenc\u00e9 tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t : \u00e0 15 ans, il \u00e9merveillait d\u00e9j\u00e0 tout le monde \u00e0 Santos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/picture>\r\n \n \u00a9 AP Photo, File<\/figcaption>\n <\/a>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n
Il \u00e9tait difficile de supporter l’\u00e9quipe contre laquelle jouait Pel\u00e9 \u2014 m\u00eame si j’\u00e9tais fan de Palmeiras, l\u2019\u00e9quipe qui dominait le championnat \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque. Et il \u00e9tait impossible de ne pas reconna\u00eetre le jeu brillant de Pel\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Un joueur qui, d\u00e8s son plus jeune \u00e2ge, frappait le ballon des deux pieds avec la m\u00eame habilet\u00e9. Tout aussi dou\u00e9 de la t\u00eate, dou\u00e9 comme personne m\u00eame \u2014 bien qu\u2019il n’\u00e9tait pas tr\u00e8s grand. Il dribblait comme aucun autre joueur et a marqu\u00e9 des buts uniques, en feintant, en esquivant, de la d\u00e9fense \u00e0 l’attaque, toujours vers le but. Pour les Br\u00e9siliens, nous avions rapidement eu droit \u00e0 la cons\u00e9cration, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa performance in\u00e9gal\u00e9e \u00e0 la Coupe du Monde en Su\u00e8de, alors encore gamin de 17 ans. Il conduisit des matchs exceptionnels, pour tout joueur, \u00e0 tout \u00e2ge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Il m\u00e8nera \u00e0 trois reprises le Br\u00e9sil sur le toit monde \u2014 en 1958, 1962 et 1970. Un record, l\u00e0 encore, in\u00e9gal\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Il existe, heureusement, des anthologies des \u0153uvres incomparables qu’il a faites, invent\u00e9es, cr\u00e9\u00e9es, recr\u00e9\u00e9es. Il serait difficile autrement de faire prendre aux nouvelles g\u00e9n\u00e9rations la mesure de ses brillantes inspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pel\u00e9 fut le joueur parfait. Dribblant et tirant avec la m\u00eame habilet\u00e9\u00a0du gauche comme du droit, il servait ses co\u00e9quipiers, marquait ou dansait tout simplement, magiquement, avec le ballon. Dans les stades, sur nos \u00e9crans de t\u00e9l\u00e9visions, nous sommes n\u00e9s et avons grandi avec lui, pendant plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, habitu\u00e9s \u00e0 le regarder et \u00e0 admirer ses exploits. Celui qui avait enchant\u00e9 le Br\u00e9sil enchanta le monde entier. En obtenant des r\u00e9sultats sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent avec Santos, en r\u00e9ussissant \u00e0 battre les meilleures \u00e9quipes du monde, c\u2019est lui qui fit du Br\u00e9sil de l’\u00e9poque le pays du football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En tant que footballeur, c\u2019\u00e9tait un g\u00e9nie.
