De 1973 \u00e0 1990, le pays \u00e9tait gouvern\u00e9 par Augusto Pinochet, ce dernier ayant pris le pouvoir gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un coup d\u2019\u00c9tat, en septembre 1973, qui avait entra\u00een\u00e9 la chute du gouvernement socialiste de Salvador Allende et la mort de ce dernier, \u00e9lu en 1970.
