Le lib\u00e9ral Sebastian Sichel, candidat du parti du pr\u00e9sident sortant Pi\u00f1era, est arriv\u00e9 troisi\u00e8me, avec 13&#160;% des voix.\u00a0Cela faisait plus de vingt ans que le Chili n\u2019avait pas vu une diff\u00e9rence de voix aussi faible entre les deux candidats vainqueurs du premier tour. C\u2019est aussi la premi\u00e8re fois depuis le retour de la d\u00e9mocratie en 1980 que les partis traditionnels de centre-droite et centre-gauche ne se trouvent pas au second tour d\u2019une \u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle. Le second tour aura lieu le 19 d\u00e9cembre.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pas de destitution pour Pi\u00f1era. Le pr\u00e9sident sortant a \u00e9chapp\u00e9 de justesse \u00e0 la proc\u00e9dure qui devait \u00eatre lanc\u00e9e \u00e0 cause d&rsquo;un soup\u00e7on de conflit d&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat lors de la vente de la compagnie mini\u00e8re Minera Dominga en 2010. Alors que la Chambre des d\u00e9put\u00e9s avait vot\u00e9 favorablement \u00e0 la proc\u00e9dure de destitution le 9 novembre dernier, la majorit\u00e9 n&rsquo;a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 atteinte au S\u00e9nat.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Au Venezuela,\u00a0les \u00e9lections locales de dimanche ont \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9es par la participation de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lldl.us14.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=10762824cc6c812ec1f389f08&amp;id=fc514bfcb5&amp;e=e7f9517c85\">l&rsquo;opposition<\/a>\u00a0\u00e0 Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, apr\u00e8s un boycott de plusieurs ann\u00e9es. Les premiers r\u00e9sultats montrent que le chavisme consolide son pouvoir en remportant 20 des 23 \u00c9tats du pays, en plus de Caracas, lors d\u2019\u00e9lections r\u00e9gionales o\u00f9 seulement 41,8&#160;% d\u2019\u00e9lecteurs se sont rendus aux urnes (8,1 millions d\u2019\u00e9lecteurs sur 21 millions inscrits). L\u2019opposition paye son manque d\u2019unit\u00e9 et si le leader de cette derni\u00e8re, Henrique Capriles, ne s\u2019est pas encore exprim\u00e9, Maduro a quant lui reconnu les r\u00e9sultats et la victoire de son parti.
