La Virginie est actuellement gouvern\u00e9e par le d\u00e9mocrate Ralph Northam, ancien m\u00e9decin de guerre, mais la coloration politique risque de changer mardi, le candidat r\u00e9publicain ayant une courte avance dans les sondages.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"iframe-container wp-block-image wp-block-image-large  iframe-dw\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<iframe class=\"absolute w-full h-full pin-t pin-l\" title=\"titolo\" aria-label=\"Interactive line chart\" src=\"\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/hRFO4\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Glenn Youngkin, tout juste entr\u00e9 en politique apr\u00e8s 25 ans dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de gestion d\u2019actifs, a tenu \u00e0 prendre ses distances par rapport \u00e0 Donald Trump, m\u00eame si ce dernier l\u2019a qualifi\u00e9 de \u00ab&#160;&nbsp;succ\u00e8s incroyable&#160;\u00bb en juillet dernier, et fait notamment campagne sur l\u2019\u00e9ducation, en attaquant la pr\u00e9tendue <em>critical race theory <\/em>(CRT), contre laquelle les R\u00e9publicains font front uni, comme en t\u00e9moigne le <em>Stop CRT Act<\/em> propos\u00e9 en mai 2021 par une trentaine d\u2019\u00e9lus r\u00e9publicains \u00e0 la Chambre des repr\u00e9sentants. Face \u00e0 lui, McAuliffe est un d\u00e9mocrate de longue date qui a copr\u00e9sid\u00e9, en 1996, la campagne de Bill Clinton et, en 2008, a dirig\u00e9 la campagne d\u2019Hillary Clinton aux primaires d\u00e9mocrates.<br><strong><\/strong><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li><li>Pour promouvoir la candidature de McAuliffe, tout le gotha d\u00e9mocrate s\u2019est rendu dans cet \u00c9tat de la c\u00f4te Est, y compris Obama, Joe Biden et Kamala Harris. En effet, l\u2019\u00e9lectorat d\u00e9mocrate (qui a largement \u00e9lu Biden en 2020) est d\u00e9motiv\u00e9 par la lenteur des r\u00e9formes, la r\u00e9duction des plans d\u2019investissement envisag\u00e9s par l\u2019administration d\u00e9mocrate, l\u2019image \u00e9corn\u00e9e des \u00c9tats-Unis depuis le retrait d\u2019Afghanistan et les rat\u00e9s de la gestion de la crise sanitaire. \u00c0 un an des \u00e9lections de mi-mandat, c\u2019est donc la forte abstention qui risque de faire triompher Youngkin.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>L\u2019\u00e9lection est un test pour la majorit\u00e9 de Biden. Celle-ci est en effet effrit\u00e9e entre son aile progressiste, qui soutient un immense plan d\u2019investissement (le \u201c<em>Build Back Better<\/em>\u201d ou BBB, qui s\u2019ajoute au plan sur les infrastructures), et l\u2019aile plus mod\u00e9r\u00e9e, qui veut \u00e9viter de perdre un \u00e9lectorat qu\u2019elle juge hostile \u00e0 un trop <em>big government<\/em>. Cette semaine, l\u2019administration Biden a en effet clarifi\u00e9 le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre et la dimension du BBB&#8230; \u00e0 la baisse. Il pr\u00e9voit des d\u00e9penses de 1 750 milliards de dollars, contre<a href=\"https:\/\/lldl.us14.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=10762824cc6c812ec1f389f08&amp;id=2c2352de66&amp;e=a7246a6503\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> 6 000 initialement<\/a>. Alors que les chambres vont d\u00e9battre et voter ces plans, le r\u00e9sultat de Virginie pourra faire pencher la balance.<br><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li><li>Le maire de New York et le gouverneur du New Jersey seront \u00e9galement \u00e9lus aujourd\u2019hui. \u00c0 New York, le d\u00e9mocrate Eric Adams devrait l\u2019emporter sans surprise et succ\u00e8derait donc \u00e0 Bill de Blasio, maire d\u00e9mocrate depuis 2013.
