If populism is not quite an ideology, strategy, discourse or political logic, then what kind of phenomenon is it ? In its last book (Le style populiste<\/em>, \u00c9ditions Amsterdam<\/a>, 2019) the Groupe d’\u00c9tudes G\u00e9opolitiques<\/a> argues that the best way to understand contemporary populism is as a political style that is used by a wide range of actors across the world today. This approach stresses the performative aspects of populism, contextualising populism\u2019s position in the heavily mediatised and \u2018stylised\u2019 milieu of contemporary politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
