During his last venue in Oxford, Yannis Varoufakis said with his tongue firmly in cheek that any attempt of leaving the EU was like the very last lyrics of \u00ab Hotel California \u00bb : ‘You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave !’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our very first meeting will build on the recent events surrounding the Brexit negotiations. Will Brexit happen, which version of it, how and in the name of what ? We will interrogate the means, aims, and process-making of Brexit, not only at the scale of the UK but also with regards to the rest of the EU member states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nascent GEG Oxford<\/a>, promoted by the Groupe d’\u00c9tudes G\u00e9opolitiques – Europe<\/a>, is proud to invite you to its very first meeting. Come debate with us this Monday in St John’s college bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
