Mais, si ce terme d\u00e9signe une \u00e9poque g\u00e9ologique marqu\u00e9e par l\u2019action de l\u2019Homme sur Terre, de quel Homme &#8211; <em>anthropos <\/em>&#8211; parlons-nous ici vraiment&#160;?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que toute une tradition philosophique, du mythe de Prom\u00e9th\u00e9e \u00e0 Hannah Arendt en passant par Descartes et Marx, a d\u00e9fini l\u2019homme par sa relation \u00e0 la technique et par sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 modifier la nature selon ses besoins, cette vision anthropologique semble aujourd\u2019hui d\u00e9pass\u00e9e, inadapt\u00e9e aux transformations de l\u2019Anthropoc\u00e8ne. Comme le dit <a href=\"https:\/\/legrandcontinent.eu\/fr\/staff\/christophe-bouton\/\">Christophe Bouton<\/a> dans une <a href=\"https:\/\/legrandcontinent.eu\/fr\/2022\/11\/17\/pour-une-anthropologie-de-lanthropocene\/\">pi\u00e8ce de doctrine disponible dans nos colonnes<\/a>, de telles conceptions, coupl\u00e9es aux d\u00e9veloppements incontr\u00f4l\u00e9s du capitalisme, ont transform\u00e9 l\u2019homme en un consommateur f\u00e9roce &#8211; <em>Homo consumens <\/em>-, d\u00e9verseur de d\u00e9chets &#8211; <em>Homo colossus <\/em>-, destructeur de la nature.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une telle d\u00e9finition de l\u2019homme serait donc devenue incompatible avec l\u2019agenda de la transition \u00e9cologique, avec la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de r\u00e9inventer notre relation au vivant. Il semble par cons\u00e9quent n\u00e9cessaire de proposer une nouvelle anthropologie de l\u2019anthropoc\u00e8ne. L\u2019<em>Homo continens <\/em>&#8211;&nbsp; sobre, mod\u00e9r\u00e9, temp\u00e9rant &#8211; est-il le nouveau mod\u00e8le anthropologique du XXIe si\u00e8cle, comme le sugg\u00e8re Christophe Bouton&#160;? Quels sont les outils conceptuels \u00e0 notre disposition pour mener une telle r\u00e9flexion&#160;?
