La prise en compte de la \u00ab&#160;&nbsp;diff\u00e9rence biologique des sexes&nbsp;&#160;\u00bb dans la caract\u00e9risation du sujet ne serait, \u00e0 en croire ses critiques, qu\u2019une op\u00e9ration de maintien de l\u2019ordre social et reproductif dominant, un ordre nourri de significations imaginaires et de pratiques symboliques assurant la domination des hommes sur les femmes et des pratiques \u00ab&#160;&nbsp;h\u00e9t\u00e9ronorm\u00e9es&nbsp;&#160;\u00bb sur les sexualit\u00e9s minoritaires. Cet ordre, il serait urgent d\u2019en d\u00e9construire les attendus si nous voulons entrer de plain-pied dans le monde nouveau, celui des subjectivit\u00e9s lib\u00e9r\u00e9es et des identit\u00e9s multiples librement associ\u00e9es par le sujet lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est donc en toute bonne foi que, confront\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019effervescence de la pens\u00e9e du sujet libre et \u00e9mancip\u00e9 de ses attaches biologiques, l\u2019observateur de l\u2019\u00e9volution des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s occidentales s\u2019interroge, un brin narquois tout de m\u00eame&nbsp;&#160;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab&#160;&nbsp;La diff\u00e9rence des sexes existe-t-elle encore&nbsp;&#160;?&nbsp;&#160;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nul n\u2019ignore, bien s\u00fbr, que le sexe est culturellement construit et que si l\u2019&nbsp;\u00ab&#160;&nbsp;arrangement sexuel&nbsp;&#160;\u00bb (Erving Goffman) diff\u00e8re d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019autre, cette diversit\u00e9 ne remet pas en cause la dichotomie elle-m\u00eame, universellement repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e dans les diff\u00e9rentes soci\u00e9t\u00e9s humaines. Mais l\u2019hypoth\u00e8se d\u2019universalit\u00e9&nbsp;autorise-t-elle \u00e0 affirmer que la diff\u00e9rence des sexes conserve la validit\u00e9 th\u00e9orique que la science occidentale lui a attribu\u00e9e dans la caract\u00e9risation de l\u2019\u00eatre humain&nbsp;&#160;? Faut-il d\u00e9celer au contraire, dans cette affirmation, le ferment id\u00e9ologique d\u2019une science d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment normative&nbsp;&#160;? Et, du coup, la diff\u00e9rence des sexes existe-t-elle vraiment&nbsp;&#160;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un anthropologue et deux historiens ouvrent le d\u00e9bat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrseditions.fr\/auteur\/maurice-godelier\/\">Maurice Godelier<\/a>, anthropologue, m\u00e9daille d\u2019or du CNRS, est l\u2019auteur d\u2019une \u0153uvre consid\u00e9rable discut\u00e9e dans toutes les universit\u00e9s du monde.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/legrandcontinent.eu\/fr\/staff\/elisabeth-roudinesco\/\">Elisabeth Roudinesco<\/a>, historienne de la psychanalyse, est l\u2019auteur d\u2019une \u00e9tude r\u00e9cente sur les d\u00e9rives identitaires.
