Despu\u00e9s del mandato de Carlos Alvarado, \u00bfcu\u00e1l es la situaci\u00f3n de un pa\u00eds que se suele considerar como un caso aparte en la regi\u00f3n, como \u00ab&#160;&nbsp;Suiza de Centroam\u00e9rica&#160;\u00bb&#160;?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El domingo 8 de mayo, el economista Chaves Robles fue entonces investido como presidente de Costa Rica para un periodo de 4 a\u00f1os. En su primer discurso, prometi\u00f3 un cambio hist\u00f3rico frente a la dif\u00edcil situaci\u00f3n que enfrenta el pa\u00eds en t\u00e9rminos de pobreza y desempleo. Asimismo, el presidente Chaves destac\u00f3 la importancia de los derechos humanos dentro de la voluntad de luchar contra la&nbsp;violencia&nbsp;de g\u00e9nero, no sin pol\u00e9micas y protestas.
