On April 22nd, the GEG Weekly will discuss Luuk van Middelaar’s vision of a geopolitical Europe. This conversation will be based on an exclusive paper<\/a> following Luuk van Middelaar’s Coll\u00e8ge de France conferences.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Luuk van Middelaar<\/a>, political philosopher and author of major books on Europe including Alarums and Excursions<\/a> (Agenda Publishing 2019). He is professor at Leiden university and was speechwriter for Herman Van Rompuy from 2010 to 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maryem van den Heuvel<\/a>, Director General for External Relations (DG RELEX) at the European Council and Chief Foreign Policy Advisor in the cabinet of Charles Michel until April 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pierre Vimont<\/a>, Senior Fellow at Carnegie Europe, first executive secretary-general of the European External Action Service (EEAS), from December 2010 to March 2015 and ambassador to the United States from 2007 to 2010<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gideon Rachman<\/a>, Chief Foreign Affairs Commentator for the Financial Times<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
