En 2020, China se convirti\u00f3 en el mayor socio comercial de la Uni\u00f3n, por delante de Estados Unidos, y el impulso ha aumentado en 2021. China impuso entonces sanciones unilaterales a empresas lituanas y restringi\u00f3 el comercio con Lituania.
