En febrero de 2023, el pico de mortalidad casi hab\u00eda alcanzado las 70.000 muertes semanales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde el pasado mes de diciembre, el n\u00famero de casos de Covid-19 registrados por semana no ha dejado de disminuir, con algunos repuntes menores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entre el 30 de junio y el 7 de julio de 2024, el n\u00famero de casos registrados en todo el mundo fue de 34.400, frente a los 44,2 millones registrados en el punto \u00e1lgido del \u00faltimo pico, en el invierno de 2022.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Del 27 de mayo al 23 de junio de 2024, el porcentaje semanal de pruebas positivas de SRAS-CoV-2 pas\u00f3 del 5,6% al 7,1%&nbsp;<span class='whitespace-nowrap'><span id='easy-footnote-1-42568' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/legrandcontinent.eu\/es\/2024\/08\/20\/se-ha-vuelto-endemico-el-covid-19\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-42568' title='&lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/www.who.int\/publications\/m\/item\/covid-19-epidemiological-update-edition-169&quot;&gt;COVID-19 epidemiological update&lt;\/a&gt;, OMS, 15 de julio de 2024.'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"iframe-container wp-block-image wp-block-image-medium  iframe-dw\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<iframe class=\"absolute w-full h-full pin-t pin-l\" title=\"titolo\" aria-label=\"Interactive line chart\" src=\"\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/RNGkS\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>El Covid-19 est\u00e1 matando a menos personas que al principio de la pandemia, pero se siguen registrando muchas muertes cada semana. El virus sigue evolucionando, y cada vez son m\u00e1s las personas afectadas por un Covid-19 persistente, que probablemente causar\u00e1 la muerte a largo plazo, sobre todo las m\u00e1s vulnerables (ancianos o personas con enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Desde abril se siguen registrando cada semana cientos de muertes causadas por el virus en todo el mundo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El Covid-19 es m\u00e1s mort\u00edfero en invierno, sobre todo en Europa, donde el n\u00famero de muertes causadas por el virus super\u00f3 el millar durante varias semanas entre diciembre de 2023 y febrero de 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un porcentaje mucho mayor de la poblaci\u00f3n experiment\u00f3 infecciones \u00abpersistentes\u00bb por Covid-19 \u2014o Covid \u00ablargo\u00bb\u2014 que duraron m\u00e1s de 30 d\u00edas. La vacunaci\u00f3n y la adaptaci\u00f3n de los organismos humanos al virus siguen siendo las principales causas de la disminuci\u00f3n de la viralidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00c1frica es el continente donde la poblaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 menos vacunada.
