Llevamos m\u00e1s de cien a\u00f1os haciendo esta pregunta, y esto ya nos indica algo sobre el peculiar concepto que tenemos entre manos. En 1905, Miguel de Unamuno confes\u00f3 que hab\u00eda empleado aquella palabra muchas veces pero que, si le pidieran que la definiera, se ver\u00eda en un \u201cgran aprieto\u201d. Casi cien a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, el fil\u00f3sofo Jos\u00e9 Antonio Marina escribi\u00f3 que el significado de aquella palabra segu\u00eda siendo \u201cdif\u00edcil de precisar e imposible de definir\u201d. Ortega y Gasset se refiri\u00f3 a ella directamente como \u201cla palabra ambigua\u201d.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es la historia y el papel de los intelectuales en nuestras sociedades? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es importante trabajar sobre el concepto de intelectual y estudiar todas las definiciones que se le otorgan?
